We are now looking for a full-time Learning & Development Specialist with a special focus on onboarding to join our RELEX family in Helsinki. You’ll join a Learning & Development team of 2 people, who will help you succeed in your new role. Together the team takes care of people, meta and leadership skills development as well as general onboarding at RELEX. You will help the team by leading the development of the newbie experience and supporting the development of our overall learning services and programs.


What you’ll be doing:

As a Learning & Development Specialist focused on onboarding, you will own and manage our general onboarding process and work on developing a unique newbie experience. At RELEX, we take pride in a culture of low hierarchy, strong working relationships and fun. You’ll play an essential role in creating a newbie experience that mirrors this culture.

The key goals of this role are to scale up our onboarding process, re-design and improve the overall onboarding experience and minimize the risk of human errors in the process. You will also have the chance to work on other learning initiatives, including the acquisition of a new learning platform and language training.

In this role, you’ll get to:

  • Design and implement a new hybrid model for onboarding by blending online content, remote and face-to-face sessions to create a smooth and fun RELEX onboarding and learning experience
  • Search, compare and implement an onboarding tool for automating the routine admin tasks and to provide a more consistent experience across the globe for newbies
  • Collaborate with other teams and country offices who feed into the onboarding process, including employer branding experts and the Talent Acquisition team
  • Manage the daily running of the current and new onboarding process, including admin tasks and communications to newbies and team leads
  • Continuously develop your own expertise and professionalism, learning about and applying design thinking, behavioral science and employee engagement perspectives and best practices


What you’ll bring to the table:

  • You have worked as a Learning & Development coordinator/specialist OR have robust experience of running onboarding processes
  • Strong project management and organization skills
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and independently, using initiative and adapting to changing situations
  • Experience in creating content with subject matter experts
  • Interest in learning to use an e-learning authoring tool
