Join us as a full-time Product Manager with a focus on Micro Space (Planogramming) and Assortment offering, to join our RELEX family in North America. 

Location: US (must live and work in EST/CST). With this role you have the option of working 100% remotely from US.

You will be joining our Space & Assortment (S&A) Product team – a branch of a larger global Product organization, which are based both at company HQ in Helsinki, and across Europe and the US. Our North America based Product Manager’s aim to ensure that North American prospects, customers, partners and RELEXians have the best solutions to solve complex Category Management problems. You will help the Product and Engineering teams achieve this goal by utilizing expertise to input directly to the product roadmap and act as a local support to our Sales & Operations teams – guiding them on the latest addition and improvements to the existing and planned solution offering. 

What you’ll be doing: 

Your key task will be to contribute to our product vision, strategy, and roadmap within the S&A product offering, with a specific focus on how we best evolve our solutions for Planogramming, Assortment Optimization and Vendor Collaboration. We want to ensure that our SaaS products are world class, they meet customers’ needs now and in future, and allow us to continue to expand our presence within the North American market. 

Your key responsibilities will be:  

You will play an eclectic role contributing to many facets of our business. The focus of the role is on our Micro Space and Assortment solutions. Some of the key areas of responsibility are based around the following: 

  • Product Vision, Strategy & Roadmap: 
    • Establish a compelling product vision for the Space & Assortment applications and its place in the wide RELEX Living Retail Platform 
    • Build and manage elements of our strategic, long-term product roadmap and priority order of new initiatives 
    • Work closely with other Head’s of Product, Product Managers, Development Managers, Engineering Directors & Mangers to support alignment of operative product roadmaps and other development targets, targeted within the product strategy and roadmap 
    • Work across Product areas and functions to help unify our application across the RELEX Living Retail Platform 
    • Schedule and participate in customer discovery, design, piloting and validation session 
    • Build out scalable model for knowledge sharing and support of new capabilities for North American RELEXians 
    • Be a product evangelist of your products both internally and externally (e.g., supporting sales, participate in analyst briefings, Customer Advisory Board and Special Interest Group participation, Community updates) 
    • Stay up to date on customer (Retail, Wholesale and CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods)) needs, technology trends, market trends, including the development of omnichannel business practices in the market 
    • Establish good working relationships with different key stakeholders within Product and Technology organizations, Customer Operations, Sales, Pre-sales, and Marketing teams 
  • Operations guidance/support 
    • Acting as a trusted partner/advisor to our customers and operations teams. Involvement in strategic customer implementations (Super Tier 1) providing guidance and expertise to operations team members with regard to solution design aligned to our product best practice and development roadmap. 
    • Provide insight to our central Space and Assortment Excellence, Best Practice & Training teams identifying opportunities for improved Operations Enablement.
    • Lead customer roadmap updates and engagements alongside local and central Product team members 
  • Sales guidance/support 
    • Acting as a trusted partner/advisor to our prospects and sales/presales teams. Involvement in sales opportunities where new modules/capabilities are being considered ensuring proposed implementation schedule aligns to proposed roadmap 
    • Support with RFI and RFP submission in relation to roadmap items 
    • Guide Presales analytics team on standard demo needs for new modules/capabilities 
    • Support with roadmap updates or demos for new modules/capabilities until Sales Enablement with Feld Presales has been completed. 
    • Scope any necessary customer commitments for new modules/capabilities 

What you’ll bring to the table: 

  • 5+years working in Category Management with deep knowledge of Planogramming, Floor Planning, Assortment Planning 
  • Excellent communicator with ability to speak externally to Senior Managers, C-Suite and Decision Makers at customers and prospects 
  • Excellent understanding of the values and benefits driven by Category Management process for US retailers 
  • In-depth knowledge of Vendor-Retailer Collaboration / Category Captain model of planning 
  • Ability to turn customer objectives into clear strategic plan 
  • Detail orientated and able to capture requirements and needs of customer problems and requests
