Join us as a Senior Site Reliability Engineer in Helsinki or Lisbon, and this is some of what you’ll be doing:

  • Collaborate closely with development teams to design, implement, and maintain highly available and scalable systems, ensuring seamless integration of reliability principles into the software development lifecycle.
  • Assist in Development and/or maintenance of infrastructure as code (IaC) and automation scripts using languages like Python, Bash, or similar, to streamline deployment, configuration, and management of infrastructure and applications.
  • Monitor system performance and reliability metrics, analyze trends, and proactively identify and resolve issues through code changes, automation, and optimization.
  • Participate in the development of reliability strategies, plans, and tooling to enhance the resilience of our systems and minimize downtime, leveraging developer-friendly practices such as version control, code reviews, and automated testing.
  • Automate routine tasks and processes to streamline operations, increase efficiency, and reduce manual intervention, fostering a culture of automation and self-service among development and operations teams.

We are looking for:

  • Experience building and maintaining distributed systems, microservices, or cloud-native applications (using languages like Python, Java, or NET).
  • Solid understanding of cloud technologies and platforms (such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud), including infrastructure provisioning, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (such as Docker, Kubernetes, or similar), and familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (like Terraform, Ansible, or Chef).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making and a knack for identifying and resolving root causes through code changes and automation.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills in English, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Fluent English communication skills 

What we consider as an advantage:

  • Previous experience as a software developer, software engineer, or DevOps engineer
  • Certification in relevant areas such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Google Cloud Professional DevOps Engineer, or similar.
  • Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools and systems such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or similar
  • Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar, and experience implementing CI/CD best practices in software development workflows.
  • Understanding of SRE best practices such as error budgets, service level objectives (SLOs), and service level indicators (SLIs), and experience implementing these practices in a production environment
