Musta Pörssi Oy has selected RELEX’ store ordering system RELEX Processor to support its store replenishment process. The first pilot implementation was conducted in June 2006 and Musta Pörssi is now aiming for a rapid roll-out of the system, primarily to stores owned and operated by the company.

The implementation decision was preceded by a feasibility study on automatic store ordering. The results of the study demonstrated that automatic store ordering would enable significant improvements in the service level towards the consumers as well as an increase in distribution efficiency. The feasibility study was conducted by RELEX in spring 2006.

RELEX Processor is an ordering system that enables automatic store ordering as well as order suggestions based on the best replenishment and forecasting methods available. In addition, it can be customized to support proprietary replenishment models. RELEX Processor can easily be linked to most enterprise resource planning (ERP) or point of sales (POS) systems, which makes it an efficient approach to implementing automatic replenishment.

The feasibility study on automatic store ordering is consulting service offered by RELEX. The study enables our clients to evaluate the impact of automatic store ordering on shelf availability, shrinkage, and logistics handling costs in their own operations and provides the data needed for making informed investment decisions.
