Retail planning solution will help Cervera become more efficient, automate routine replenishment processes and evolve with the company’s needs.
Cervera, which has more than 70 stores and 600 employees across Sweden, needed a new solution to improve inventory turnover, availability and unite planning for its entire organization in one system. With the new solution, Cervera also seeks to increase the performance of its forecasting and promotion management.
The company already had planning technology in place but the software lacked the capacity to cope with Cervera’s rapid growth. Cervera realized that it needed an agile solution, with faster response times, that could adapt easily as its business changes and that would support its continuous expansion.
“Our online sales were increasing, as were the number of SKUs we were handling,” says Andrew Golrang, Cervera’s Supply Chain Manager. “As we run a lean supply chain team, we needed a system that offered a higher degree of automation and faster response times as well as one that would grow with us. We also wanted a solution that was widely used in retail across the Nordic region so that we could exchange ideas and best practices with our peers.”
We now have far better control over the flow of goods, and with RELEX, we feel confident about meeting the logistical challenges of tomorrow.
“The RELEX team has been really professional and the implementation has been very smooth. We now have far better control over the flow of goods, and with RELEX, we feel confident about meeting the logistical challenges of tomorrow.”
The retailer is already implementing its new RELEX solution to manage its 6000 SKUs and expects to complete the project this fall.
Christian Brunberg, Sales Director Scandinavia at RELEX Solutions, says it’s been a very fast and smooth implementation. “The Cervera team recently implemented another system that could not cope with their growth so their expectations of us are rightly very high,” Brunberg says. “Collaborating with our colleagues at Cervera has been a real pleasure, communication is great, they’re very sharp and open minded. It’s shaping up to be a textbook operation.”
