RELEX has grown rapidly since its inception in Helsinki in 2005. The opening of its Stockholm office in 2011 marked its first international move. Its subsequent expansion into Norway in 2014 reflected RELEX’s growing customer base and reputation across the Nordic region, driven by enthusiastic references for its demand forecasting and inventory optimisation software.

RELEX has now opened its fourth office in the Nordic region with the appointment of Keld Bograd to lead its push into Denmark. Bograd, who has a wealth of experience in the ERP and supply chain management systems arena, has worked more than 15 years for some of the best-known companies in the field.

“I reckon Danish businesses need RELEX,” says Keld Bograd, who has been busy getting his office set up in the Danish capital, Copenhagen. “I know supply chain software, I know when a company takes it to a new level and that’s just what RELEX has done.”

Bograd’s arrival coincides with the appointment of a new RELEX Country Manager for Sweden. Christian Brunberg, has been in the supply chain sector for more than 25 years and whose résumé also includes many leading technology companies in the SC arena.

Meanwhile RELEX’s Oslo office celebrated its first birthday in October by arranging its first seminar “Next Generation Supply Chains – Integrated SCM in practice” in Norway. More than 70 retail and supply chain experts participated during the day. Fred Graham, who joined the Oslo team at its launch, has also taken over as Country Manager, Norway.

“Welcoming new people like Keld and Christian, and being able to draw on the equally broad experience of colleagues like Fred in Oslo, is a reminder that RELEX is as much about expertise as it is technology,” says RELEX co-founder and Director, Scandinavia, Johanna Småros. “We don’t simply provide the world’s most powerful supply chain solutions, we pour supply chain research expertise into our software, we deploy it when implementing our systems, and ultimately we help amplify the expertise that our customers already have.”

Christian Brunberg is looking forward to the challenge of spreading the word that good demand forecasting and inventory planning can transform businesses. “In Sweden we’ve recently welcomed Konsum Värmland and Akademibokhandeln to the RELEX family,” he says. “Both companies will achieve great results with our software in the same way as our long-standing references have. I think we’re well set to become the default SCM systems provider across the Nordic region.”
