Sellmore and RELEX Forge Sales Partnership To Target Mobile Sector

Mar 18, 2013 2 min

Helsinki-based supply-chain-software experts RELEX and Sellmore, a new venture by a team of leading executives from Finland’s renowned telecoms sector, are joining forces to bring advanced retail planning to mobile network operators and handset retailers.

Sellmore, which has developed Sellmore Connect!, a holistic, end-to-end Integrated Business Planning (IBP) solution, is adding RELEX’s retail forecasting, replenishment and supply chain management system to the portfolio of solutions it offers customers.

RELEX solutions are known for their flexibility, making them ideal for handset retail; supply chains are often complex, multiple sales channels are the norm and high value/short marketing-life-cycle products like tablets and smartphones bring additional risks. The benefits of pinpoint control over forecasting, inventory, reordering and availability are obvious.

RELEX systems draw on a specially developed and extremely efficient database that enables the use of in-memory-analysis. So they can produce instant results from vast flows of information. As a result they’re fast to set up, quick to configure to the unique needs and workflows of each client’s operations and highly cost-effective.

So RELEX customers, including operator 3 in Sweden and Anglo-Nordic in Finland, have been able to reduce inventory sharply while pushing shelf availability towards 100%. In a market where customers often know what they want before they set out to make a purchase, it means that sales aren’t lost and remaindered stock is minimized.

“With RELEX’s products complementing Sellmore’s offering we’re confident we’ll be presenting a truly comprehensive set of solutions to our customers wanting to go ‘above and beyond’ in the area of integrated business planning,” says Jussi Laaksonen from Sellmore Company ltd.

“We’re delighted to be working with Sellmore,” says RELEX Managing Director Mikko Kärkkäinen. “Few companies can boast their breadth and depth of experience in the wireless sector and together we hope to bring better retail planning to mobile network operators and handset retailers right across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.”
