Role overview:

The RELEX team in APAC is growing, and we’re now looking for a Business Consultant with native Japanese proficiency to join our regional consulting team. This role can be based in Tokyo, Singapore, Mainland China, or Bangkok.

As a Business Consultant, you’ll manage software implementation projects across the full project lifecycle in the field of retail supply chain and merchandising planning. You’ll be responsible for driving customer value through process design, configuration of RELEX solutions, training delivery, and business case realization. You will be part of a high-performing, international team, and have the chance to work closely with some of the most iconic Japanese retailers and wholesalers.

This is an ideal role for a hands-on, analytical, and customer-oriented consultant who wants to help businesses evolve their planning processes and make a real impact. You are autonomous, motivated, and eager to contribute to the continued growth of our APAC operations.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

  1. Leading software implementation projects and supporting customers in designing and optimizing their supply chain and retail planning processes.
    • Driving and participating in process development workshops (in Japanese and English).
    • Responsible in the Business Specification Design Document and User Stories for the backbone structure of it and for creating process maps and outlining the UI workflow designs
  1. Supporting pre-sales activities such as scoping, value assessments, benefit analysis, and ROI case creation.
  2. Acting as a trusted advisor to clients by aligning RELEX best practices with the client’s strategic and operational objectives.
  3. Developing internal knowledge through continuous learning and participation in RELEX product and methodology trainings.
  4. Occasionally participating in industry events or internal strategic initiatives as needed.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

  1. Managing and participating in consultancy, data analysis and software implementation projects. Tasks include:
    • Attending or leading process development workshops
    • Analysing data and KPI’s
    • Presenting findings and results to customers (both to operative and to management level)
    • Responsible in the Solution Design Document for the backbone structure of it and for creating process maps and outlining the UI workflow designs
    • Configuring RELEX tools according to customer specifications
    • Educating and training customers to use RELEX tools
    • Providing user support for customers
    • Responsible for KPI tracking, ensuring the business case is met and the adoption of the system is appropriate
  2. Participating and supporting sales process as a product / supply chain specialist
  3. Attending suitable industry or RELEX events if needed
  4. Attending training and developing relevant knowledge and skills
  5. Helping in other general sales and admin tasks if required
