Information Architect – Data Governance
Apply nowWe are looking for an Information Architect to join our Business Intelligence & Information Management team in Helsinki or Sweden. You will join a growing team supporting the rapid growth of RELEX by providing data, information and insight to fuel decision making and business process improvement.
As an Information Architect, you will work closely with our business stakeholders and Enterprise Architecture to ensure that information requirements are captured and modelled in alignment with the organization’s goals and objectives. Your role will be integral to establishing smooth collaboration with various Information, Data and System Owners, as well as data consumers, such as Data Engineers and Analysts.
Your main responsibilities will be:

Information Architecture Design: Develop and maintain the RELEX’ information architecture framework, including models, taxonomies, and metadata

Strategy Alignment: Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the architecture supports business objectives and aligns with data governance policies

Development and maintenance of RELEX’ common information model and glossary as an implementation independent target view for business information

User-Centered Design: Create and maintain intuitive navigation structures for information retrieval and usability, keeping end-user needs in mind

Governance and Compliance: Establish standards and best practices for data management, ensuring compliance with regulations (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001)

Documentation and Communication: Produce clear documentation of architectures, workflows, and processes to support internal and external stakeholders

Guide value creation with an information centric approach, supporting the company in the topics in information management, information models, data models, master data management and data integration

Collaboration: Working closely with subject matter experts to design conceptual, logical and business process models; actively engage with development teams to implement models and guide specific technology and solution specific designs

System Integration: Work with IT teams to design scalable information systems and ensure seamless integration between platforms and tools

Continuous Improvement: Assess and optimize existing information systems to improve efficiency, reduce redundancy, and enhance usability
What you’ll bring to the table:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Enterprise Modeling, Information Systems, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.

Proven experience (5+ years) in information architecture, data modeling, or related roles.
Technical skills:

Proficiency in data modeling tools and techniques

Experience with databases (SQL and NoSQL), metadata management, and taxonomy development

Familiarity with cloud platforms and data integration technologies

Proficiency in conceptual modeling tools and techniques

Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman) is advantageous

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for improvement
