We are growing and looking for a new full-time Senior Product Manager – Strategic Planning – to ensure and enable our success, especially within North American Retail.
Here is a Quick Overview:
- You will be the subject matter expert for Strategic Planning within RELEX. This includes: Merchandise financial planning, long horizon forecasting, open to buy and scenario planning processes.
- You will collaborate closely with our customers to ensure RELEX roadmaps are aligned with their future ambitions as well as ensure they are getting full value from our solutions.
- You will work across our organization and closely with our assortment and promo planning functions to ensure we are developing best-in-class solutions for seasonal retail planning.
- Your goal is to ensure our products are sold widely and supported seamlessly.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Own the Strategic planning product roadmap and work closely with other Product Managers to ensure your products integrate well with theirs
- Talk to customers implementing or looking to implement financial or long-term planning. Understand their current processes and intended usage of our solution and guide them on best practices
- Be the Retail seasonal & long-term planning subject matter expert within RELEX
- Support Sales as the MFP/OTB & planning Expert (particularly in NA)
- Clearly communicate customer learnings, processes & requirements to the overall Strategic Planning product team (design, engineering, etc.) as we look to manage resource against roadmap
- Collaborate cross-functionally within RELEX, sharing your knowledge and learnings to ensure as an organization we succeed across unified pre-season planning processes
- Understand the forecasting and replenishment solution landscape and ensure that your roadmap takes advantage of existing RELEX capabilities
- Educate customer leadership on the RELEX product vision
- Articulate RELEX vision and value proposition; what differentiates us from competitors
What you’ll bring to the help:
- Ability to establish strategic collaboration with internal and external stakeholders on all organizational levels
- Excellent communication and presentation skills (English)
- Deep knowledge of how seasonal & long-term plans are created, adapted and reviewed
- Experience owning a product or roadmap within technology context – and a solid understanding of Product Management practices
- Desire to spend time with our customers and on the road with end users to get deep insight into *day in the life*, challenges, tools used, and how RELEX could support them be successful in their roles
- Ability to work closely at different levels to understand current working practice and future strategy
- Understanding of Change Management challenges and how technology can support, particularly with the view of large and spread end users.
- Collaborative attitude and approach to work cohesively and effectively across functions, particularly Sales
- Self-Motivation – self-starter and can work independently
- Success at building relationships and working closely with different levels of customer stakeholders
- Willingness to travel and spend time in the field and away from home
- Passion for technology and how it can help and improve the day-to-day operations of grocers
What we consider as an advantage:
Note: These are not required qualifications but provide insight into the types of experiences that could set a candidate up for success in this role.
- Experience working within North American general merchandise retail, grocery, or other retail industries with a focus on seasonal planning.
- Background in central merchandising or supply planning teams.
- Career experience spanning multiple retailers or organizations (not limited to a single grocer/retailer).
- Experience at a technology solution provider focused on seasonal planning, in roles such as Business Consultant, Implementation Specialist, Presales, or Product Owner/Manager.
- Hands-on consulting experience with firms supporting North American retailers in improving seasonal and financial planning processes (preferred).
What we consider as an advantage:
- Experience in SaaS, B2B enterprise software, or large-scale platform development.
- Familiarity with observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, OpenTelemetry) and integration technologies (e.g., REST, GraphQL, message queues, iPaaS).
- Exposure to agile product development methodologies.
