The RELEX team in the Americas is growing, and we’re now looking for a Technical Consultant/Site Reliability Engineer. You’ll join our global continuous services team which provides technical expertise, succeeding in your role by ensuring service levels are met for a portfolio of customers. In this role, you’ll have the chance to contribute your skills and expertise to the team, making a real impact on our ongoing success while working closely with our teams in Atlanta and Helsinki, Finland.
Join us as a Technical Service Consultant, and this is some of what you’ll be doing:
Customer Support & Technical Services:
- Plan and execute development work in customer environments
- Investigate technical issues and application problems for our customers
- Handle escalations from the support team
- Work closely and communicate with relevant internal & external stakeholders
- Aid users in getting the most out of the platform by responding to support requests
- Experience in understanding, defining, and documenting customer requirements and translating those into technical solutions
Integration & Development:
- Build and maintain integrations between RELEX products and customer backend systems
- Manage technical workstreams
- Read and understand code, with scripting knowledge.
Infrastructure & Operations:
- Oversee routine platform maintenance tasks such as patch management, upgrades, and troubleshooting
- Automate systems using GitLab, Terraform and CI/CD pipelines
- Monitor platform performance metrics and devise strategies to enhance system health, capacity, cost and reliability
- Help teams monitor the availability and performance of their services by using internal observability platforms
We’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree or experience working in Software Engineering, Information Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computing Science
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong teamwork capabilities
- Technical troubleshooting experience
- Good English proficiency (both verbal and written) and Spanish skills
- Experience in programming/database/query languages & tool skills (SQL Server, SSIS, PowerShell, Java, JavaScript, Ruby, or similar)
- Basic knowledge of databases and Git
- Basics of Linux and Unix
- Experience working with external customers
- Understanding of how Support Services function
- Excellent communication skills
What we consider as an advantage:
- Experience and understanding of retail, supply chain management and enterprise software
- Knowledge of other coding languages
- Proven track record of successfully leading client work and implementations
- Knowledge of application monitoring and distributed systems
- Experience in business analytics
- Microsoft Azure Cloud certification
- Work experience in an international environment
- Previous experience from any of these technologies/tools: Google Cloud, AWS, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Azure Monitoring, Honeycomb, Terraform Cloud, GitHub, GitLab, Apache Kafka, Kubernetes and containerization technologies, identity and access management solutions like Entra ID.
