Casa Ley

Casa Ley is a Mexican grocery store chain, one of the largest in the country. It operates primarily in northwestern Mexico, including states like Sinaloa, Sonora, Baja California, Chihuahua, and Durango. The company was founded in 1954 by Juan Ley Fong, a Chinese-Mexican entrepreneur. For many years, Casa Ley had a partnership with Safeway Inc., a U.S. supermarket chain, which owned a stake in the company. However, after Albertsons acquired Safeway in 2015, Casa Ley became fully controlled by the Ley family. Casa Ley operates various store formats, including supermarkets, hypermarkets, and warehouse-style stores, catering to different customer needs. It’s known for its fresh produce, meats, and regional products.
