Setting the Standard in Quick Commerce

Getir pioneered fast delivery by creating an entirely new category of “delivery in minutes” model. Today, the company serves 40 million people across Turkey through an innovative network of dark stores, small, strategically located fulfillment centers stocked with popular grocery items and everyday essentials. Unlike traditional retail stores designed for customer browsing, these dark stores operate as micro-warehouses optimized purely for speed and efficiency, enabling delivery times measured in minutes rather than hours or days.

Fast delivery creates operational complexities that traditional retail planning cannot handle. Balancing extensive product assortments across dark stores and distribution centers while maintaining the speed and reliability customers expect requires precision at every level of the supply chain. High demands on product availability, freshness, and inventory efficiency create challenges where small inefficiencies can cascade into significant operational and financial impacts.

Getir faced several critical challenges that threatened their ability to scale efficiently. Balancing business goals of high availability with low spoilage created a cycle where reactive decisions led to either stockouts or excess inventory. Limited forecasting capabilities and manual planning tools made it challenging to anticipate demand patterns and maintain visibility across distribution centers and dark stores.

Implementing AI-Powered Planning Solutions

Getir selected RELEX Solutions in 2023 to address these challenges and support their continued growth. Implementation began that year, with 2024 serving as a recalibration period as teams adapted to the new platform and processes. By 2025, Getir began experiencing the full benefits of their investment, with measurable improvements across key operational metrics.

RELEX’s proven track record in inventory optimization and fast delivery environments influenced the selection, along with the platform’s ability to optimize operations and adapt to changing market conditions. Implementation focused on deploying AI-powered forecasting and replenishment capabilities designed for ultra-fast delivery requirements. Machine learning algorithms analyze demand patterns, seasonal variations, and local market dynamics to generate forecasts that account for rapid inventory turnover in quick commerce operations.

Flexible business logic configuration and KPI tracking capabilities allow Getir to refine processes and adapt to market changes while maintaining efficiency across their dark store network.

“The flexibility of RELEX has allowed us to tailor the system to our unique fast delivery service needs. Just as importantly, the RELEX team has been a collaborative partner, helping us adjust processes and fine-tune the solution so our planners can improve efficiency and reduce waste in key ultra-fresh categories such as meat, poultry and fish,” said Erman Keskin, Getir’s Planning Director.

The intuitive interface also supported rapid adoption, every planner now actively uses RELEX, eliminating the manual workarounds that were necessary with Getir’s internal tools.

“After using RELEX for over a year and a half, we are confident it was the right decision. Every planner can use the system easily thanks to its intuitive interface,” said Keskin.

Delivering Measurable Results Through Continuous Optimization

Following the recalibration period in 2024, Getir experienced significant operational improvements in 2025, demonstrating how the RELEX platform continues to deliver value through ongoing optimization. The results showcase not just initial implementation benefits, but the sustained benefits that emerge as the system matures and adapts to business needs.

Automation streamlined forecasting and replenishment, freeing planners to focus on higher-value decisions.

“Before RELEX, we were doing too many manual tasks after receiving reports and forecasts. Now the process is automated and much smoother and the financial impact has been huge,” said Keskin.

Getir achieved significant efficiency gains without expanding inventory levels, enabling more efficient capital utilization while maintaining the high service levels essential for customer satisfaction in fast delivery. Spoilage decreased by 30% in several ultra-fresh categories such as meat, poultry and fish, delivering substantial cost savings and supporting responsible business practices in food retail.

Availability improved from 90% to 92% overall, with high-rotation items achieving over 92% availability. In an industry where customers expect immediate fulfillment, these availability levels directly impact customer satisfaction, order completion rates and basket sizes. Higher availability reduces split shipments, improves operational efficiency and enhances the customer experience that defines successful quick commerce operations.

Supporting these operational improvements, the implementation of RELEX’s machine learning forecasting capabilities contributed to a 6.6 percentage point improvement in forecast accuracy. This enhancement reflects the platform’s ability to learn from demand patterns and refine predictions, creating a feedback loop that drives ongoing operational improvements across the supply chain.

These improvements demonstrate how planning solutions deliver benefits over time. As forecast accuracy improves, inventory efficiency increases and availability rises, creating a cycle that strengthens operational performance and financial results.

Building for Continued Growth

Getir’s transformation illustrates the evolution from implementation to partnership, where planning technology becomes integral to daily operations. RELEX platform flexibility enables operational adaptation as market conditions change and business requirements evolve.

AI-driven analytics and near-real-time optimization capabilities position Getir to maintain leadership in Turkey’s competitive fast delivery market while building operational capabilities for growth. Partnership with RELEX continues to unlock new opportunities for efficiency gains and customer experience enhancements.

“RELEX has been central to our digital transformation. The platform and the team behind it give us confidence to scale quickly while maintaining efficiency and strong supplier relationships,” said Keskin.

Getir’s success demonstrates how fast delivery brands can leverage planning technology not just to solve immediate operational challenges, but to build lasting benefits that support market leadership in the evolving fast delivery market.
