Booths, a leading regional supermarket in the UK, has now been recognised at the Retail Systems Awards, winning ‘Supply Chain Solution of the Year’, following its work with RELEX Solutions, Europe’s fastest growing supply chain solution provider.
Now into its 10th year, the Retail Systems Awards recognise technology excellence and innovation within the retail sector. Winning entries come from retailers and technology suppliers who are leading the way in such areas as mobile, online, payments, loyalty and personalisation.
The Supply Chain Solution of the Year award recognises a retailer who has introduced a supply chain solution which has helped the business manage and maintain its stock levels, while also improving visibility across the entire organisation.
Booths partnered with RELEX Solutions to implement a new supply chain system while completely overhauling replenishment of its 31 supermarkets across NW England. The prime objective was a radical cut in spoilage, improved promotions and a fresher produce offering to customers. Implementing RELEX has resulted in spoilage being cut by 20% in the most difficult areas, 95% availability and spoilage down 10% across the board.
