We are now looking for a Finance System Specialist to join our RELEX family in Helsinki. You’ll join an IT Service Delivery and Development team of 4 people, who will help you succeed in your new role. Together with the team, our goal is to transform RELEX IT into a strategic partner for the business—a more business-driven and service-oriented entity. This transition is vital to better support the company’s growth and strategic objectives.
In this role, you will work on critical IT software solutions in the finance domain, closely collaborating with business counterparts. This entails acting as the technical owner of applications in our daily development work, as well as leading and coordinating projects within this area.
With your can-do attitude, you will collaborate to develop and enhance finance solutions alongside business counterparts, the Service Delivery Manager, other IT teams, and external partners
What you’ll be doing:
- Act as a superuser of our financial ERP system (NetSuite). Manage and provide 2nd-level user support, channel and prioritize inquiries from end-users, including the analysis of technical incidents, identification of temporary workaround, and follow-up of resolutions in co-operation with other IT teams and the external software vendor.
- Lead and co-ordinate internal development projects related to finance systems, tools, and processes
- Transitioning Finance Systems as part of the IT Service Portfolio
- Conduct analysis with business and finance representatives to formulate technical solution design/specifications, identify and prioritize new business requirements and cloud-related activities.
- Managing system development backlogs and Roadmap
- Collaborate with colleagues in the finance team across RELEX offices.
- Release management for the finance area.
- Customer and vendor management
What you’ll bring to the table:
- Previous experience with NetSuite ERP system either as a superuser, consultant, developer, or specialist.
- Experience with NetSuite development (JavaScript, SuiteScript, SuiteFlow, and SuiteBuilder)
- Several years of experience in ERP development (including configuration) in a global environment.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance or information technology.
- At least 3 years of professional experience involving requirements analysis, software design, development, 2nd level support, implementation, and maintenance of Finance applications.
- Knowledge and Experience of e2e financial processes and data flows X years.
- Knowledge and Experience of Incident, Problem (RCA), and Change management processes together with Continual Improvement
- Knowledge and experience in the relations between different ERP modules and integrations with other systems
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Excellent collaboration, social, presentation, and communication skills
What we consider as an advantage:
- Good understanding of financial accounting topics
- Experience in agile development methods is an asset.
- Knowledge and Experience in management and vendor management skills
