Our design organization consists of over 20 designers, proactively improving our products and user experience across our product areas. Our designers are responsible for asking the right questions, gathering insights, designing new and enhancing our existing features and further developing our processes and way of working. Our aim is to stay ahead of the market and what our customers need, enabling continuous improvement of their business and processes. We want to provide our designers with growth opportunities through creative and challenging work, without sacrificing genuine flexibility and work life balance. 

As Head of Design (Design Manager), Price and Promotion you’ll be part of the product and tech organisation owning the development of our price and promotion software. We solve the complex retail problem of pricing and promotion optimisation by making sense of billions of rows of data by utilising machine learning and artificial intelligence. A powerful software needs to be easy and intuitive to use enabling users to unlock its full potential effortlessly.  
 
You will lead the rapidly expanding price and promotion design team, currently comprising of four creative minds, and be a key player within our broader design organization. We have weekly design sessions to show our work and to get feedback from our peers to ensure we learn something new with every project. We strive for excellence and make sure everyone has ownership and freedom in their work. Most importantly, we have a great atmosphere in the team and try to make everyone feel welcome and appreciated! 
 
Join us as Head of Design (Design Manager), Price and Promotion, and this is some of what you’ll be doing:   

  • Growing and nurturing the team:
  • You’ll be responsible for the professional growth, development and high performance of each team member and the team as a whole
  • Providing regular, actionable design feedback to team members
  • Ensuring correct resourcing in the team through aligning with product and development roadmaps
  • Driving recruitment and onboarding for new hires
  • Defining the way of working in a scale-up organization
  • Working closely with product and technology leadership, proactively resolving issues and improve ways of working
  • Efficiently and tactically driving change within the growing team and organisation
  • Improving design quality and design process maturity across the product area 

 
Who we’re looking for: 

  • 3+ years of experience leading a design team 
  • 7+ years of experience designing digital products  
  • Experience coordinating and prioritizing work of others and driving projects forward  
  • Experience working with data-heavy software with complex use cases   
  • Demonstrated experience with product design and/or user research 
  • Proven ability to collaborate successfully with cross-­functional partners and work in a fast-paced environment  
  • Comfortable with presenting designs and articulating design decisions  
  • Pro-activity & ability to self-govern your work  
  • Great social skills and teamwork mentality
