Join us as a Performance Engineer in Helsinki or Lisbon, and this is some of what you’ll be doing:
- Develop and execute performance test strategies, plans, and scripts to assess the performance of our systems under various scenarios.
- Analyse test results and performance metrics to identify bottlenecks, areas for optimization, and opportunities for improvement.
- Bring visibility to performance metrics and understand their effects on customers.
- Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to implement performance enhancements and ensure the scalability and reliability of our applications.
- Participating in performance infrastructure maintenance.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our testing and quality assurance processes, tools, and methodologies.
We’re looking for:
- 3+ years of experience in performance engineering, with a strong focus on performance testing and analysis.
- Proficiency in scripting and executing performance tests using tools such as JMeter.
- Experience in Monitoring and Observatory tools and container technologies (such as Docker).
- Good grasp of web protocols (HTTP, HTTPS), and web services (REST, SOAP).
- Proficient in at least one programming or scripting language commonly used in performance testing, such as Java, Python, Perl, or .NET.
- Understanding database management and querying (SQL for relational databases or specific query languages for NoSQL databases)
- Solid understanding of testing methodologies, quality assurance principles, and software development lifecycle.
- Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Fluent English communication skills
What we consider as an advantage:
- Experience in using Gitlab, cloud technologies (such as Azure)
- Front end Developer experience
- Knowledge of test automation and hands-on experience with automation tools.
- Creativity in exploratory testing and problem-solving.
