Italmark to Strengthen Grocery and Fresh Food Management and Improve Service Levels Across Its Supply Chain with RELEX

Italian supermarket chain to deploy integrated store and DC forecasting and replenishment to boost availability and optimize inventory 

Italmark, a leading supermarket chain in Northern Italy, has chosen RELEX Solutions to deploy forecasting and replenishment capabilities across its network of 100 stores and four distribution centers (DCs). The retailer aims to improve grocery and fresh food management, increase service levels, and gain better visibility into supply chain performance. 

Headquartered in Lombardy, Italmark operates medium- and large-format stores with a strong focus on high-quality fresh products and locally sourced goods. As the business continues to grow, the company identified the need for more consistent governance of its replenishment processes and clearer measurement of key supply chain KPIs. Before this project, planning was largely manual, limiting visibility and making it difficult to scale. 

Italmark selected RELEX based on its depth of experience in grocery retail and its track record supporting Italian market leaders. The RELEX unified platform will automate forecasting and replenishment for a large number of SKUs, helping Italbrix, which operates Italmark’s DCs, create accurate store- and DC-level plans, reduce waste, and maintain strong availability for customers. The platform also provides a foundation for future development in strategic assortment and promotions planning.
