Mio Uses AI Capabilities to Improve Supply Chain Agility with RELEX

The Swedish furniture retailer adds AI-assisted diagnostics and machine learning forecasting to accelerate proactive planning

Mio, one of Sweden’s leading furniture and interior design chains, has expanded its collaboration with RELEX Solutions by implementing RELEX Diagnostics with AI-assisted Diagnostics and machine learning (ML) forecasting. Mio aims to improve visibility into performance drivers, reduce manual analysis and support informed decisions across its supply chain, pinpointing where investments deliver most value. This project will be supported by RELEX partner Elvenite providing implementation services.

Founded over 60 years ago, Mio provides their customers with a range of furniture and interior design products for their homes. They operate stores in more than 70 locations nationwide with an e-commerce platform. Mio has a product assortment of around 8,000 SKUs supplied through a centralized distribution network.

Since the first implementation of RELEX for forecasting, replenishment, and supply chain capabilities in 2014, Mio has relied on the platform to optimize inventory decisions and maintain high product availability. This has consistently evolved to address changing business needs with measurable improvements reported. Mio is now adding RELEX Diagnostics and ML-based forecasting, to further strengthen operational control.

Leveraging Gen AI capabilities, RELEX Diagnostics automatically analyzes supply chain data to identify the root causes behind issues and its monetary impact such as stock imbalances, forecast deviations, service level risks and user analytics. Combined with ML forecasting, the capabilities help Mio detect emerging risks earlier and support both day-to-day executions. Mio is strengthening proactive planning, reducing manual effort, and supporting clearer operational and strategic decision-making.
