NOWEDA, a cooperatively organized pharmaceutical wholesale company with more than 9,300 members throughout Germany, will partner with RELEX Solutions, provider of unified retail planning solutions. The RELEX solution will initially be implemented for the entire product range in four NOWEDA distribution centers (DCs) before being rolled out to all 20 DCs throughout Germany, with the goal of optimizing NOWEDA’s inventory management, reducing storage costs, and improving processes by increasing automation and ease of use.
NOWEDA selected RELEX due to the platform’s transparency, forecasting accuracy, and high level of automation, as well as the user-friendliness of the RELEX solution, including its visual data displays and reporting functions. The RELEX system will address the complex challenges that are common in pharmaceutical supply, including forecasting seasonal pharmaceuticals and products with limited shelf life.
