RELEX Solutions and Booths, the UK’s leading regional supermarket, have together made the shortlist in three categories for the BT Retail Week Tech & Ecomm Awards 2015.
The competition aims to showcase the best in retail technology projects and digital ideas, and the most successful technology teams using them to transform business and customer experience in the sector. The winners will be announced at a ceremony on June 10, 2015, at the Hilton Park Lane, London.
RELEX and Booths, have been shortlisted for ‘IT Team of the Year’, ‘Project of the Year’ and ‘Delivery or Fulfilment Innovation of the Year’. The entries stem from RELEX and Booths’ work together to transform the supermarket’s supply chain and reduce spoilage. The three nominations reflect the success of the project, Booths’ reputation for excellence and RELEX’s fast growing momentum in the UK over the past twelve months.
Booths’ project with RELEX to implement a RELEX supply chain management and demand forecasting system produced impressive results within months of the solution being rolled out (as of October 2014):
- Spoilage cut 20% in fresh-cabinet items responsible for 20% of overall spoilage
- Spoilage down 10%+ across the assortment
- Availability 95%+ across all product categories in most stores
- Availability – Top 3 for UK supermarkets according to ‘The Grocer’
