Skincity Looks to RELEX For More Accurate Forecasting of Promotions and New Product Releases

Online skincare clinic targets higher sales and service levels

The Swedish founded online skincare clinic, Skincity is to use RELEX to improve its service to customers while lowering inventory and releasing capital for business development.

Founded in 2011, Skincity prides itself on providing both professional skincare products and expert advice to rival anything available on the market. Skincity, which last year became part of the Axel Johnson Group, offers around 6,700 different items to its customers.

Prior to starting work with RELEX, Skincity relied on its ERP system to manage its inventory. The online skincare retailer quickly realized that to handle its rapid growth, it needed to bring in specialized forecasting and replenishment technology and expertise. RELEX was recommended to them by contacts in the beauty industry.

The new system will open up a wide range of possibilities Skincity hasn’t enjoyed before, including forecasting for the long-term (12+ months ahead) as well as for promotions and new product releases.
