Hi, I’m Terje Jensløkken, Head of Sales Planning at Mesterbakeren. We’re one of the leading bakery companies in Norway, supplying around 700 grocery stores with fresh-baked bread and bakery products every day, six days a week.
We have been running or using a machine learning prediction model since 2018. We came to a, to a point where we realized that we would have to make some major upgrades to, to make it, to keep it running. So we looked at other solutions to help us moving forward.
And RELEX is an industry leader. And so they were definitely a very good alternative for us. We were a bit skeptical because running, making a prognosis, or predictions for fresh-baked product with one-day shelf life, it’s a very difficult operation. We started the implementation project in January this year. It did go live according to plan, and you stick to the budget.
And it was a very good process. And you put a lot of efforts into the project, and so did we, which is key to a successful project.
Both on the tech and the business side, We expected the results or the outcome to be as good or a bit better than the previous model, and so it is. And we also see a big improvement in terms of the usability, the user interface, and the dashboards that allow us to get a very good overview of the status of our prognosis.
So, we had a very good experience with the project with RELEX.
