Apr 28, 2022 1 min

Italian large-scale distribution group Agorà Network has partnered with RELEX Solutions, provider of unified retail planning solutions, to optimize demand forecasting and replenishment for their distribution centers (DCs), which serve a sales network of 540 stores throughout Italy. By automating their demand forecasting and DC replenishment with RELEX’s state-of-the-art, AI-based solution, Agorà Network will improve service levels to their affiliated companies, product availability, and the quality of fresh products while optimizing operational costs.

Agorà Network brings together the grocery retail groups Iperal, Sogegross, Gruppo Poli, Tigros, and Rossetto. Today Agorà Network is the seventh-largest buyer of consumer-packaged goods in Italy and continues to grow. Agorà Network selected RELEX’s cutting-edge, future-proof technology because it provides the flexibility and agility to adapt continuously to frequent changes in the retail landscape, both today and into the future. RELEX’s numerous success stories on the large-scale retail market and the expertise and transparency of their local team in Italy were further elements supporting Agorà Network’s decision.

“Agorà Network’s goal is to guarantee an excellent service level to our affiliates while optimizing the replenishment process,” comments Massimo Ebelli, General Manager of Agorà Network. “RELEX’s adaptable and unified solution as well as highly qualified local team will allow us to reach our strategic goals.”

“We are delighted to get the opportunity to help Agorà Network meet their strategic goals,” says Stefano Scandelli, Senior VP Sales EMEA & APAC at RELEX Solutions. “The flexibility of our solution will allow Agorà Network to optimize DC replenishment, support their current expansion phase, and better serve their retail network across all sales channels.”
