Berggård Amundsen to Transform Inventory Performance with AI Diagnostics from RELEX

Berggård Amundsen & Co AS, a Norwegian electrical wholesaler, is expanding its collaboration with RELEX Solutions to deploy AI-Assisted Diagnostics to quickly identify root causes of stockouts and inventory imbalances across its operations. PwC will lead program delivery, working closely with both teams to embed these capabilities into daily workflows and accelerate results.

Founded in 1946, Berggård Amundsen is a family-owned distributor of electrical products, including lighting, heating systems, and power and telecommunications cables. The company operates 27 stores and one distribution center, managing approximately 14,000 SKUs across Norway. Following its initial deployment of forecasting and replenishment capabilities from RELEX in 2023, the company is now extending its use of RELEX AI to address inventory challenges with greater precision.
Advanced AI capabilities that continuously analyze inventory performance and surface actionable insights will help teams address issues before they impact customers. Unlike conventional reporting tools, AI-Assisted Diagnostics will evaluate large volumes of operational data, allowing teams to focus on resolving issues rather than searching for them. Berggård Amundsen expects to reduce overall inventory value while increasing product availability, with faster time-to-value compared to traditional diagnostic approaches.
“Improving availability while keeping inventory in check is a constant priority for us and a key part of how we deliver on our customer promise,” said Rolf Inge Danielsen, Logistics Director at Berggård Amundsen. “With AI-Assisted Diagnostics, we can quickly understand what’s driving stock issues and take corrective action, helping us deliver a more consistent service to our customers.”
“We are excited to support Berggård Amundsen in this next phase,” said Cato Kaasa, Partner at PwC. “By combining RELEX domain expertise with our industry experience, we can help ensure this goes beyond a technology deployment and delivers value through clear, practical actions.”
“This three-way collaboration shows how companies can scale AI in supply chain operations with real impact,” said Tiina Kanninen, SVP, Global Customer Success at RELEX Solutions. “PwC brings program leadership and advisory expertise, while RELEX delivers AI capabilities directly into planning workflows. Together, this approach helps customers move beyond pilots and deliver measurable results in day-to-day operations.”
