Broman Group Expands Use of RELEX to Optimize Assortments and Accelerate Nordic Growth

Broman Group, a Finnish automotive spare part and accessories retailer, has chosen to expand their use of RELEX Solutions, a provider of unified supply chain and retail planning solutions, to include assortment planning capabilities. Broman Group first selected RELEX for forecasting and replenishment in 2019, and later added promotion forecasting and markdown capabilities in 2021. Building on this strong foundation, Broman Group aims to prioritize best-selling products and boost inventory turnover.

Motonet, Broman Group’s flagship store chain, specializes in auto parts, tools, and leisure goods for motorists, bikers, boaters, fishing enthusiasts, and home renovators. With more than 100,000 different products, Broman Group’s success depends on stocking the right products in the right stores. However, their existing spreadsheet-based approach was no longer adequate for making data-driven decisions about which products should be included in the assortment.
Broman Group will use the unified retail planning platform from RELEX to combine data sources and integrate assortment planning with their existing forecasting and replenishment processes. This will help Broman improve supply chain efficiency, reduce the number of delivery trips needed, make room for top-selling products, and increase how quickly inventory turns over, all while reducing manual work.
“RELEX has been a trusted partner in our growth journey, and their solutions have consistently delivered measurable value,” said Karri Flemming, Supply Chain Director, Broman Group. “As we expand, their assortment planning capabilities will provide the flexibility and efficiency we need to scale successfully.”
Assortment planning from RELEX will help Broman Group identify the most profitable products to stock in each store, ensuring their wide product selection matches customer demand and business goals. By bringing all relevant data into one centralized platform with real-time insights, Broman Group can make informed decisions faster and improve how efficiently they operate. This streamlined approach will also free up time for their teams to focus on strategic growth initiatives.
“We’re proud to have supported Broman Group’s impressive growth, including their successful entry into the Swedish market in 2024 and the launch of new stores,” said Jason Berry, Senior Vice President EMEA, RELEX Solutions. “Our assortment planning capabilities will strengthen that momentum by helping Broman optimize operations, improve decision-making, and eliminate inefficiencies that can hinder expansion.”
