French agricultural cooperative improves profitability and service offerings while enhancing sustainability

French agricultural cooperative Cooperl has chosen RELEX Solutions to improve the efficiency and visibility of its supply planning processes. Cooperl will deploy supply planning and distribution resource planning solutions for food products within its cured meats division, which has more than 15 factories. Supply Chain Company, a RELEX partner specializing in the deployment of supply chain projects for manufacturing industries, is supporting the implementation of this project.

Cooperl controls the entire value chain, from livestock farming and animal feed production to the processing and distribution of meat products and livestock equipment, exporting its products to more than 50 countries around the world. The company chose RELEX for its expertise in the manufacturing sector and its advanced planning capabilities. With RELEX, Cooperl aims to improve the accuracy of its industrial planning, particularly through cross-site optimisation, increase profitability, and strengthen its sustainability commitments.

“Recognising the need to modernise our processes, we chose RELEX for its proven track record in project management and its success with other industry leaders,” explains Jean Galès, Supply Chain Director at Cooperl Group. “We expect to see improved visibility and optimized inventory management across all our sites.”

RELEX technology will enable Cooperl to generate optimized procurement proposals, contributing to more responsive decision-making aligned with actual needs. Improved planning will also help minimize overproduction, a critical issue in the fast-moving fresh produce industry. Real-time visibility across the supply chain will enable better supply management and identify potential bottle-necks so that proactive measures can be taken.

“Supply Chain Company is delighted to be part of this ambitious project to help Cooperl optimize its operations and support its growth,” said Henk Jan Rijske, CEO of Supply Chain Company. “With our recognized expertise in manufacturing supply chains, we are confident that we can support Cooperl in implementing a more agile and responsive supply network.”

“We are pleased to support Cooperl in its mission to provide high-quality products through an optimized, data-driven supply chain,’ adds Stefano Scandelli, Managing Director of the Manufacturing division at RELEX Solutions. “Our planning and procurement solution will address their complex challenges, enabling them to continue to satisfy their customers with reliability and precision.”
