Northeast China Retail Giant Biyoute Selects RELEX to Optimize Supply Chain Efficiency
Jul 23, 2025 • 3 minNortheast China retail giant Biyoute Trading Co., Ltd. (Biyoute) has selected RELEX Solutions, provider of unified supply chain and retail planning solutions. RELEX will implement a comprehensive platform for demand forecasting, replenishment planning, and fresh goods optimization across Biyoute’s 100+ stores, 7 distribution centers, and over 25,000 SKUs. The initiative aims to establish best-in-class supply chain models for the Chinese grocery sector.
Founded in Hegang, Heilongjiang in 1996, Biyoute has expanded to own 100 stores across over 30 cities in Northeast China during its nearly 30-year development, including Hegang and Harbin in Heilongjiang Province, Shenyang and Dalian in Liaoning Province, and Changchun and Tonghua in Jilin Province.

In its supply chain transformation journey, Biyoute realized that to achieve further growth, it must build a smarter supply chain system – integrating demand forecasting, procurement, and inventory optimization. While many international retailers have already adopted such systems, few domestic players in China have fully realized their potential. With its forward-thinking strategy, Biyoute stands out as a domestic pioneer.
Based on its firsthand reform experience, Biyoute has been actively exploring the core competencies of “authentic chain retailing,” continuously refining operational logic to enhance supply chain efficiency. This perfectly aligns with RELEX’s philosophy of a unified, AI-driven supply chain – achieving cross-functional synchronization and demand alignment through unified supply chain planning. This will help Biyoute realize key business objectives in a highly efficient manner, a key driver behind this cooperation.
The deployment will cover all product categories, including fresh goods, with RELEX providing Biyoute a complete end-to-end supply chain planning system. Biyoute will be able to accurately predict daily store-level demand and generate specific replenishment plans based on each store’s inventory status, guiding logistics operations for timely replenishment.
Meanwhile, decentralized decision-making will be transformed into a centralized model, shifting from reactive supply chain exception responses to a proactive planning system with predictive capabilities. This approach resolves potential issues before they occur, comprehensively improves inventory turnover efficiency, and reduces both out-of-stocks and fresh product waste, ultimately achieving structural optimization of operational costs.
Additionally, the collaboration has received full support from Beijing Times Consulting, a local logistics and retail consulting firm that previously supported Biyoute in streamlining distribution operations. In this phase, Beijing TCBC and RELEX will integrate resources and capabilities to jointly strengthen Biyoute’s supply chain efficiency.
“Throughout our history, Biyoute has consistently adhered to three strategic values: first, providing one-stop shopping for household fast-moving consumer goods; second, pursuing extreme cost-performance ratio; and third, earning customer trust. All three depend critically on the efficiency, resilience, and flexibility of our supply chain. Biyoute’s future development requires professional partners like RELEX, and I have great expectations for this cooperation” said Meng Fanzhong, Chairman of Biyoute.
Michael Falck, co-founder of RELEX Solutions, said: “The partnership with Biyoute is a key milestone in RELEX’s commitment to the Chinese market. Through this collaboration, we have gained deeper understanding of local grocers’ supply chain operations. Biyoute’s dedication to data-driven and lean operations highly aligns with RELEX’s philosophy. We will fully leverage our global supply chain optimization experience, combined with Biyoute’s local operational expertise, to support their development strategy.”
By combining RELEX’s global capabilities with Biyoute’s regional insights, the companies aim to set new benchmarks in intelligent supply chain operations. The initiative will support Biyoute’s “100 stores, 10 billion yuan” strategic goal, and help accelerate the digital transformation of China’s broader retail ecosystem.
