Eroski, a leading Spanish supermarket cooperative operating over 1,000 stores, has selected RELEX Solutions for forecasting and replenishment. Working in partnership with Deloitte, their aim is to improve efficiency across the entire Eroski supply chain, spanning 16 distribution centers (DCs) and approximately 1000 stores. Deloitte will support the project with implementation and change management services.

Founded in 1969 as a cooperative between supermarkets in the Biscay and Gipuzkoa regions, Eroski has grown into one of Spain’s most recognized grocery retailers. They operate owned stores and franchises across multiple formats including small neighborhood stores and large hypermarkets. Eroski selected RELEX to replace its legacy system and support its efforts to improve efficiency across the entire supply chain, with a scalable platform underpinned with AI.
“We were looking for a solution that not only addressed our current business challenges but also aligned with our future technology roadmap,” said Alberto Madariaga, COO, Eroski. “RELEX stood out for its strong functional fit and clear development vision, giving us confidence in a long-term partnership.”
The RELEX AI-driven platform will improve planning across Eroski’s network with demand forecasting that accounts for seasonality, promotions, and local demand patterns. The platform will synchronize store and DC replenishment to improve on-shelf availability while controlling inventory and reducing spoilage. This unified approach gives teams shared visibility across the network, enabling more efficient operations.
Naiara Unibaso, Head of Replenishment, Eroski added: “Strengthening our supply chain planning is a key priority for Eroski. With RELEX, we will move toward an automated and data-driven approach. This will allow us to improve efficiency across our network and better serve our customers with the right products at the right time.”
“We thank Eroski for the trust placed in Deloitte to support it through this key step in its technological and operational evolution,” said Gregorio Martín, Partner, Deloitte. “The implementation of an integrated planning and management solution will strengthen its capabilities to anticipate demand, optimize its operations, and improve data-driven decision-making. This project, developed together with RELEX Solutions, represents a significant advance in the modernization of the company’s operating model and its commitment to increasingly agile, efficient, and business-oriented management.”
We are pleased to support Eroski with this important supply chain transformation,” said Jason Berry, SVP EMEA, RELEX Solutions. “Together with Deloitte, we will bring greater accuracy, automation, and visibility to forecasting and replenishment, helping Eroski run more efficiently and serve customers more consistently across its stores.”
