Hennig-Olsen Is Expands RELEX Partnership to Pilot S&OP and Advanced Production Planning

Hennig-Olsen Is, the Nordic region’s oldest ice cream producer and distributor, today announced the expansion of their partnership with RELEX Solutions, provider of unified supply chain planning solutions. Since 2021, RELEX has provided Hennig-Olsen Is with automated demand forecasting and planning for their distribution center in Norway. They will expand their use of RELEX to include sales and operations planning (S&OP) and production planning and scheduling with a pilot to improve service level accuracy and lower stock while reducing manual processes.

Before RELEX, Hennig-Olsen Is used spreadsheets to manage their demand-supply balancing and production scheduling, requiring time-consuming manual input and planning. They also needed to replace a planning tool reaching its end-of-life with a solution that would provide advanced supply chain planning capabilities but still easily integrate plans into their ERP. After completing their initial demand planning implementation with RELEX in 2021, they decided to expand the partnership to streamline and automate these processes. Further, the expansion will provide end-to-end supply chain visibility, support a continuous planning process, and connect strategic plans to execution. RELEX collaborated with strategic partner Delfoi to implement the expansion.
