Global Book Distributor leverages AI and machine learning technology to optimize inventory planning and procurement.

Ingram Content Group (“Ingram”), a global book distributor and wholesaler, announced the expansion of their usage of RELEX Solutions, provider of unified supply chain and retail planning solutions.

Since 2019, RELEX has been successfully providing Ingram Content Group with advanced forecasting and replenishment services for their five distribution centers in the U.S. Now, Ingram Content Group is extending their utilization of the RELEX solution to their distribution center in Milton Keynes, U.K.

This strategic move will enable them to leverage the power of AI-driven machine learning technology to optimize their inventory planning and procurement processes on a global scale. The expansion will lead to quicker product rollouts in the U.K., resulting in enhanced availability for their valued customers and consumers.

“Given Ingram’s growth and success in the UK, we were happy to expand our adoption of RELEX,” said Ingram’s CIO Steve Marshall. “This expansion allows for our global teams to have consistent processes and collaboration, further strengthening our supply chain management capabilities.”

“RELEX delivered strong results for Ingram’s U.S. project and we are with them for the long haul as they continue to grow and succeed in the marketplace. Our solution will allow Ingram to automate and optimize their processes globally, saving valuable time and allowing teams to focus on the tasks that add the most value,” said Frank Lord, Chief Revenue Officer at RELEX.
