La Sirena, a leading Spanish grocery chain specializing in the distribution of high-quality deep-frozen products, will partner with RELEX Solutions, provider of unified retail planning solutions, to automate the retailer’s planning processes and integrate its supply chain. The RELEX solution will service La Sirena’s distribution center as well as their 281 stores throughout Spain, driving improved on-shelf availability and optimized stock levels in their supply chain network.

La Sirena sought to modernize its supply chain with technology offering end-to-end visibility in order to improve efficiency and allow for better understanding of the impact promotions have on its demand forecasts. Prior to RELEX, the company managed its supply chain with multiple independent solutions that lacked flexibility and adaptability. The old, siloed processes were not future-proof and didn’t support La Sirena’s growth plans. The company saw great potential for improving its processes and evaluated several potential solutions before selecting RELEX for its innovative, AI-based, integrated retail solution.

“With RELEX, we are able to integrate our store & DC replenishment and promotions using a single platform” says José Luis Gómez, Logistics & IT Manager in La Sirena. “RELEX automates our processes, saving time spent on manual administrative tasks and allowing us to focus on increasing our service levels to meet customers demand. RELEX also provides us with better control and acts as a reporting tool for markdown processes.”

“We are very happy to welcome La Sirena to the RELEX family and support them in successfully continuing their expansion plans,” says Anna Van Ginkel, Country Manager Spain & Portugal, RELEX Solutions. “La Sirena has just taken an important step towards transforming and integrating its supply chain planning, from stores to warehouses and suppliers, including the planning of dark stores and promotions as well as delivery smoothing to avoid capacity problems.”
