Techtronic Industries EMEA to Transform S&OP and Network Planning with RELEX Solutions

Techtronic Industries (TTI) EMEA has selected RELEX Solutions to upgrade its forecasting and supply chain planning processes across EMEA. The initiative represents a major step in advancing TTI’s S&OP capabilities as the company expands its distribution footprint and product portfolio. Capgemini will serve as prime implementation partner, supporting the rollout across markets and ensuring alignment with TTI’s SAP ECC landscape and future S/4HANA migration.

TTI EMEA manages approximately 10,000 SKUs across five European distribution centers, serving professional, industrial, and DIY customers through globally recognized brands including MILWAUKEE, RYOBI, and AEG. Following significant growth and the addition of three new DCs since 2017, supply chain complexity increased substantially, exposing limitations in its legacy planning system.
The previous system had limitations into the visibility of stock across the network; lacked awareness into which orders to expedite and de-expedite; and lacked constraint planning particularly in Kitting items, which were particularly challenging during promotions. These issues resulted in heavy manual processes and interventions, error-prone and subjective orders, which led to unnecessary costs in the TTI operating model.
With RELEX, TTI will implement multi-level forecasting across day, week, and month horizons, supporting planning at brand, group, and SKU levels. The system will identify cannibalization effects across the assortment and recommend forecast adjustments, strengthening promotional and new product planning.
On the supply side, RELEX will provide constrained planning that accounts for capacity, safety stock policies, minimum order quantities, and operational limitations. Integrated deployment planning between RELEX and SAP will support automated proposal cycles, stock transfers, and improved balancing across the network. The platform will also improve dependent demand planning for kitting, aligning component availability with finished goods and marketing programs.
“This is a foundational step in upgrading our S&OP capabilities across EMEA,” said Paolo Balloni, VP Supply Chain EMEA at Techtronic Industries. “As our business grows, we required a platform that connects demand and supply planning within real operational limits. RELEX gives us the visibility and structure to scale confidently while maintaining high service levels.”
“Wholesale businesses require a supply chain that can scale with the business,” said Jan Lammers, Vice President Supply Chain Transformation, Capgemini. “Driving TTI‘s transformation of their European supply chain through the integration of the RELEX solution, aims to increase service performance, improve inventory productivity, and strengthen decision-making across its operations. It enables the company to support customers more effectively, respond faster to changing market demand, and create sustainable business value as it expands.”
“TTI’s continued expansion across Europe demands greater coordination between demand and supply decisions,” said Gael Ramaen, SVP EMEA Strategic Business Transformation, RELEX Solutions. “By connecting multi-level forecasting, supply planning, and deployment optimization in one unified platform, RELEX will help TTI reduce manual intervention and operate its network with greater control and confidence.”
