Shanghai-based industrial plastics supplier centralizes distribution center replenishment across 16 sites

K.D.F. Distribution Co., Ltd., a supplier of industrial plastic products, has selected RELEX Solutions to support forecasting and replenishment across its distribution center network in China and SEA region. The project will span 16 distribution centers (DCs) and approximately 1,200 SKUs, supporting planning and coordination across the company’s Asia operations.

As the business expanded, replenishment and purchasing activities were largely handled through semi-manual processes. This approach made it harder to align purchasing decisions with sales needs and added complexity as volumes and network size increased.

With RELEX forecasting and replenishment capabilities, planning will be centralized across all DCs. Bringing these processes into a single system will simplify day-to-day workflows, reduce manual effort, and improve coordination between purchasing and sales teams. The new setup will also support more consistent replenishment decisions and clearer visibility across the network.

“Previously, many of our replenishment and purchasing activities depended on manual processes,” said Christopher Voigt, Managing Director of K.D.F. Distribution (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. “We needed a way to centralize these activities and improve how purchasing and sales teams work together. RELEX gives us a clearer and more consistent way to manage replenishment across our distribution centers.”

“With K.D.F. Distribution, we’re working with our first wholesale customer in China,” said Michael Falck, Co-founder, RELEX Solutions. “It also brings a new industry for us in industrial plastic products. We look forward to supporting the team as they bring more structure and visibility to replenishment planning across China and their Asia network.”
