Sawasdee krub. My name is Onni Rautio from RELEX Solutions. Today, we’re here in vibrant Bangkok, visiting our customer, CJ More, and taking a closer look at how they’ve transformed their supply chain with RELEX. CJ is one of Thailand’s fastest-growing retailers, operating thousands of stores nationwide. 

When we started back in 2022, they had less than 800 stores. Today, the number is 2,000. This is where RELEX comes in, working side by side with CJ, ensuring accurate forecasts, optimized replenishment, and continuously improved KPIs, ensuring sustainable and long-term growth. Let’s step inside and see how it all comes together.

As CJ continues to grow, managing operations at this scale requires more than just technology; it’s about partnership. The RELEX and CJ teams work hand-in-hand to tackle operational constraints and improve critical KPIs such as availability, out-of-stocks, days-on-hand, and spoilage across both stores and distribution centers. Every step is guided by reliable forecasts. Fresh inventory management is quite sensitive.

Since fresh products have a relatively short shelf life. Once we implemented RELEX, the inventory levels sent to stores became optimal, allowing us to maximize sales and significantly reduce waste at the stores. Our main challenge was inaccurate forecasting. This is where RELEX uses our historical data to help forecast the future with greater accuracy. 

RELEX has a module called RELEX Diagnostics, which provides in-depth data analysis, enabling our team to make decisions on sending stock to stores much faster and more accurately. Balancing freshness, availability, Balancing freshness, availability, and waste is at the heart of CJ’s operations. With RELEX, this is no longer a manual challenge. The AI-driven platform equips planners with accurate demand forecasts and store-level visibility.

These capabilities not only improve product availability and reduce spoilage but also optimize inventory levels and streamline daily store operations. Of course, great planning only matters if execution follows through, and that’s where CJ’s warehouses play a vital role. The core of the Supply Chain Is delivering the right product, in the right quantity, at the right time. RELEX fully addresses these three needs and improves our efficiency in managing our operations.

Every morning, we check product availability, using data from RELEX to decide which items to replenish and in what quantities. This gives us confidence and removes the worry of overstocking or understocking. Before using RELEX, we relied on our own experience to forecast which items to replenish, which wasn’t always accurate. But now, we have reliable forecasting. 

It gives us confidence that there will be enough stock to meet customer demand at all times. It makes our work easier and allows us to devote time to analyzing customer needs to improve management efficiency even further. It’s inspiring to see how data from RELEX helps the teams at CJ to grow and scale, without ever sacrificing freshness. What stands out the most is how technology empowers people. 

All the way from planners at headquarters to store staff here, everyone benefits from better forecasting and better processes. We are doing this business with zero know-how, zero knowledge at all. So we kind of decide things as we go, based on the information that we have at that time. So next thing we know, right, the business has been growing, and we have been struggling a lot on the supply chain side of things.
